PA ENHANCED EMISSIONS
Hometown Auto Service can conduct your enhanced emissions test at either it's or Conshohocken store. Under the state's new program, you must get the new emissions sticker before you can get a new safety sticker. Some highlights of the new program are as follows:
WHO IS AFFECTED?
If you have a gasoline-powered vehicle model year 1976 or newer, car, van or light-duty truck that weighs 9,000 pounds or less and your vehicle is registered in Delaware, Bucks, Chester, Philadelphia or Montgomery County, you are included in the enhanced emissions program.
VEHICLES WILL BE EXEMPT FROM THE NEW EMISSIONS PROGRAM IF:
- The car was driven less than 5,000 miles in the prior 12 months. You must be able to provide us with verification of both the mileage and the date of the prior inspection.
- Purchasing a new car, not previously titled and driven less 5,000 miles before registration.
It is the customer's responsibility to inform Hometown that their vehicle may be emissions exempt. There is a charge to receive an exempt sticker.
Additional informational is available through the state's emissions hotline at (800) 265-0921 or at www.drivecleanpa.state.pa.us.
